It’s a great place to pop the question. You can see the proposal video here.

Exploring the island is a ton of fun.

Sunset in Oahu

Or you can just go home and enjoy the sunset from your hotel.

Wandering around for Sea turtles is a lot of fun.

And of course day dreaming of owning that home on the rocks with your own private beach for miles. Oh we can’t wait to go back.

Oahu is one of those magical places that you fall in love with at first sight. Not only are there killer views everywhere you look, but you really can’t go wrong at any of the beaches, especially Lanikai Beach which happened to be our favorite spot! Seriously, Oahu was so magical that we even got engaged here!

If we can recommend anything to first time visitors it would be to check out any of the hikes, we enjoyed the incredible views from Koko Head Crater and trekking through the jungle for the lost Kaniakapupu Ruins. Also, a trip to Oahu isn’t complete without snorkeling at the infamous Hanauma Bay where you will find a kaleidoscope of colorful fish just inches away from you! Check out the gorgeous Byodo-In temple at the base of the majestic Ko’olau mountains! Treat your sweet tooth with a pineapple whip at the Dole Pineapple Plantation. And of course, trying Ahi Poke from one of the grocery stores and having a picnic on any beach is a must!

Worried that you can’t afford a luxurious Hawaiian vacation? Don’t worry, we’ve put together inexpensive things to enjoy during your time in Oahu as well!
