This is a more quiet than say Midtown, but still has plenty going on and is a great location to get to all the popular sightseeing around the city.

Not to mention being one of the most sought out places to live, if you have the $$$$.

Chelsea has undergone one of the biggest makeovers in the city. Going from the 1800s where it was completely industrial with factories and an above ground railroad to connect the factories to other parts of the city, to being one of the most desired neighborhoods in all of New York.

You can still see clues of the past if you look closely, take Chelsea Market for instance, once a Nabisco factory where the Oreo cookie was invented to a popular indoor food market that attracts crowds daily.

And this neighborhood has hundreds of art galleries!

This is where to stay in New York City for the people who want to live posh high life during their visit. This neighborhood will increase your chance of bumping into celebs plus you’re walking distance to many great spots and just under a 20-minute subway ride to about everywhere else in Manhattan.

Ok, so finally where to stay in New York City that’s not in Manhattan! Just across the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges is the trendy neighborhood of DUMBO. Adorably cobblestone streets and converted warehouse buildings make up this incredible aesthetic and highly desirable neighborhood.

Filled with independent boutiques, restaurants, trendy cafes, and killer views you can’t help but fall in love with this area.  Sadly, there aren’t a lot of options here but if DUMBO is within your budget we highly recommend staying here.
