For those who wish to venture out, the Chuckanut Mountains offer many trails and there are also beaches nearby.

Each hut has an adjacent portable toilet, shared full bathrooms and showers are fitted in the centrally located barn a short distance away.

The cleverly compact and light-filled units incorporate a refrigerator and microwave for basic bites to eat and there’s a water faucet outside each hut for washing up in the fresh air. Step outside for a morning coffee amongst the wildflowers.

Shared facilities include  12 seat picnic tables plus a picnic shelter with propane and charcoal grills for a smokey dinner. There is a shared shower and toilets in the nearby main barn, plus each hut has a private portable toilet just outside.

One of the most unique places to stay in Washington is on a houseboat on Lake Union in Seattle! This houseboat is named Turnip has a cool Japanese design with bright colors and interesting details like etched glass and woodworking.

She is also moored on the south side of the Lake Union with lovely city and water views that can be taken in on a great rooftop for sitting.

This is one unique houseboat rental has some serious style and design with its bright colors and hobbit-esque archways inside. The cute floating home still feels roomy and space can sleep up to four people on a Queen size bed, sleeper sofa, small sleeping nook (best for kids), and blow-up mattress. 

There’s also a full kitchen for preparing meals, a wall heater for cozying up, and a full bathroom with a feature Japanese style shower.

You will love sitting out on the private deck or better still, up on the roof. Guests can use the two kayaks shared with another one of their houseboats for rent a few slips down on a first come first serve basis.
