On a very fun trip to Palm Springs to see a concert, we stayed at the 7 Springs Inn & Suites for their funky rooms with some friends. 7 Springs Inn & Suites is where to stay in Palm Springs if you want to be really close to downtown Palm Springs and don’t want to pay an arm and a leg.

It’s one of those Palm Springs hotels that’s great if you want to do a driving or walking tour of cool mid-century modern or celebrity homes of Palm Springs too as you’re surrounded by The Movie Colony and Old Las Palmas neighborhoods.

For single travelers and couples, go with a deluxe room or a more spacious suite with a full kitchen. If you’re looking for kid-friendly hotels in Palm Springs, this is a great choice. Smaller families can book family rooms or larger parties can go with a 3-bed/2-bath townhouse.

As mentioned, if you’re looking for hotels in downtown Palms Springs, this one is within walking distance! You’ll find the 7 Springs Inn & Suites on Indian Canyon Drive, just a quarter mile from Ruth Hardy Park and less than a mile from downtown Palm Springs. Although, it’s a busier road so hopping in a car is probably a little more comfortable, but walking is an option too.

Okay, if you’ve been around our channels for a while you know we love a good PINK hotel! In fact, we booked an entire trip to Bermuda around staying at three different pink hotels. And Palm Springs hotels definitely have a few great pink options including the BEST pink option, the Trixie Motel.

The Trixie Motel is currently one of the most coveted places to stay in Palm Springs! Founded by Trixie Mattel from RuPaul’s Drag Race, this SUPER PINK boutique motel is a must-see with 7 uniquely designed rooms. Every detail was thought of here, and when you think you’ve seen it all, there’s more!

From whimsical art and vintage tchotchkes to hand-drawn murals and custom furniture, every space is meticulously designed for your enjoyment. Go with a Queen, a Suite with a kitchenette and private patio, or the king-sized Oh Honeymoon Suite! Guests can cool off in the kidney-shaped pool or shop at the Trixie gift shop for souvenirs.

Located in the Vista Las Palmas neighborhood of Palm Springs, you’re surrounded by some of the most famous Mid-Century Modern homes, including the Marylin Monroe House and Casa Elizabeth (Elizabeth Taylor’s house). And you’re a 4-minute drive from Downtown Palm Springs and the Walk of the Stars!

So, the thing is that this popular Palm Springs hotel is a bit competitive to get a room in. I mean there is an entire TV show about this place after all, so it should come as no surprise. If you are unlucky in getting a reservation here, you can always visit the gift shop and have a flamboyant cocktail to at least get a sliver of an experience here!

The adults-only Fleur Noire Hotel is one of the most stunning places to stay in Palm Springs. We adore the gorgeous casitas and bungalows here, each one individually designed and featuring oversized flower murals. In fact, you’ll find flower murals throughout the hotel, all done by the artist, Louise Jones.

When it comes to boutique Palm Springs hotels, Fleur Noire Hotel stands out with its array of perks. There’s a community kitchen if you’re feeling inspired, or head to the hotel’s sushi restaurant next door.

And the wonderful rosé bar onsite is always a good idea! The beautifully designed courtyard has loungers, fire pits, yard games, a gorgeous pool that screams Palm Springs (that’s heated in the colder months), and more. The hotel also offers different activities that you can sign up for like bike rides, hikes, and horseback rides.

The Sands Hotel & Spa is where to stay in Palm Springs for luxury at every level. Designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard created a refreshing take on Moroccan-style interiors with lots of pink accents. Around every corner is a feast for the eyes, with designer touches, bold color choices, and Palm Springs-inspired details!

This is where we stayed on our most recent visit to Greater Palm Springs, expect around a 20-30 minute drive to downtown Palm Springs, but since there’s so much to do in and around Greater Palm Springs, this is a great option for exploring the area a bit more.

Choose between a room or suite, each individually designed by Bullard and featuring full-sized minibars. You can also upgrade rooms and suites for separate sitting rooms and private patios featuring decadent outdoor soaking tubs!

Guests of the Sands can lounge by the pool or enjoy the welcoming atmosphere at the retro Pink Cabana restaurant and bar. We had dinner and drinks here one night and LOVED it. The restaurant is designed to feel like a racquet club from the 1950s and 1960s.

And the Moroccan Spa offers a variety of treatments for both individuals and couples, making this one of the best Palm Springs resorts for couples.

The design here alone is worth the stay and you absolutely must plan for at least a half a day at the pool with drinks. Plus, the hotel is located minutes away from hiking trails and world-class golf clubs. Book here.

Dating back to the 1920s, the beautiful La Quinta Resort & Club is an experience, every step of the way. This is a massive Palm Springs resort, set on 45 acres, with golf courses, tennis courts, and dozens of pools and hot tubs scattered throughout the property! You’ll find it in the historic town of La Quinta, less than 25 miles from Palm Springs.

We think the casitas here are really special, with fireplaces and 1920s-style interior design. I stayed in one of these around a decade ago and haven’t forgotten about it since!

Upgraded rooms, suites, and villas also have private patios with whirlpools, cozy living spaces, state-of-the-art kitchens, and more! There are also 7 unique dining experiences at the La Quinta Resort & Club, from cafes and grills to fine dining restaurants.

The best part is that there are SO many pools around the property and they have restaurants on site. I love the hacienda-style architecture and the backdrop of the Santa Rosa Mountains.

Tee off at the golf course, book a treatment at the spa, or have a session with a personal trainer. You can schedule an instructor at the tennis courts or enjoy a cocktail by the adults-only pool. There are rooms and suites available to you when you book. Go with a room with a balcony, mountain views, and abstract murals or a suite with a modern sitting area and stocked wet bar. There are pools on site, a steakhouse, and you’re really close to the El Paseo Shopping District.

Just 6 miles or a 15-minute drive from Downtown Palm Springs, The Paloma Resort is another top-notch stay to consider in the Greater Palm Springs area. It’s an award-winning luxury boutique located in the heart of Cathedral City and one of the best places to stay in Palm Springs.

The Paloma Resort has a great location and plenty to do. There’s a classic Palm Springs feel, with Mid-Century Modern and Spanish elements everywhere. They even offer shuttles to Downtown Palm Springs when you want to shop, dine, and sightsee!

The building has a very storied past, most famously because it was purchased by Gene Autry in the 1960s as a residence himself and to house the LA Angels baseball team during spring training! In the 90s, it was the luxurious Givenchy Hotel and today, it’s a Mid-Century Modern dream to stay here.

There are winding gardens with adobe structures, lemon trees, herb bushes, fire pits, and more. You can play croquet on the lawn or visit the onsite spa, the Palm Springs Yacht Club! The larger-than-life entrance to the hotel is popular with Instagrammers, as is the lobby with its whimsical, retro-chic design.

You have your choice of rooms, suites, villas, or even the stand-alone Gene Autry Estate! All the spaces were designed (and continuously updated) by Jonathan Adler, boasting touches like hammock patios, private pools, and more. And if you ever actually leave the property, it’s a short, 10-minute drive to Palm Springs.

The history of the luxury hotel began in the 1930s and features famous movie stars, socialites, politicians, and more. The historic stucco structure was revamped by designer Steve Hermann. He kept the spirit and feel of the Art-Deco hotel with complimentary Moroccan themes, Hollywood Maximalism, and calming palm green.

Book a light-filled room, suite, or bungalow. As a guest, you’ll enjoy high-end touches, designer bath products, and Nespresso machines. Some rooms have balconies and fireplaces, and suites and bungalows include private patios and pool access.

You can find it at 1100 East Sierra Way in the Indian Canyon neighborhood of Great Palm Springs, less than 10 minutes from Downtown. While it’s affectionately known as That Pink Door, it’s officially called Villa Sierra. The stark architectural style of the exterior gives way to interiors boasting a decadent Hollywood Regency style full of bold and cozy color combinations. And outdoor spaces are lush and green, offering a quiet retreat with privacy hedges. It’s the ultimate luxury vacation rental where you can live like the stars!

Not to mention, this neighborhood is fun to drive around and just look at all the cool MCM homes and colorful doors!
